Sally Yu is the founder and CIO of Mount George Partners. Sally is also the CIO of ODC/Dance and serves on the board of San Francisco Ballet Endowment Foundation. Previously Sally was a Managing Director at Renaissance Technologies, a long standing innovator in investment management recognized globally for its exceptional intellectual capital and extraordinary long-term track record. Prior to Renaissance Technologies Sally was a principal and a senior portfolio manager at Barclays Global Investors (“BGI”). BGI, now part of BlackRock, was a pioneer in scientific investment with a history of innovation such as indexing, Exchange Traded Funds (“ETF”) and systematic active investment. Prior to BGI, Sally was part of a start-up team that formed Drake Management in New York where she joined on day one as a portfolio manager and helped to grow the firm’s asset from zero to $20 billion. Sally started her career in quantitative research at J.P. Morgan in New York. Sally received her Executive MBA from NYU Stern School of Business and Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She is also a CFA charter holder. She serves on the MIT Corporation Development Committee, MIT Annual Fund board, executive committee member of the President’s Council for the Arts at MIT.
